As Sales Manager, Jake is our main contact for you to learn more about our lines of unusual plants. His background and training make him well equipped to help you.

Jake joins us from the Sierra Nevada mountains of Southern California where he was raised on a ranch, so Jake is a practical guy, up for challenges. After getting his BS in 2002 in Agricultural Systems from the University of California at Davis, he flew to Israel, served in the Israeli army for 1 year, and learned Hebrew in 7 months flat!

Jake brings his high energy to everything he does. (Jakes states he is “hyper high energy” – which sounds more diplomatic than “high strung”). Desert off-roading anyone? Jake is a Jeep and off-road enthusiast in his free time. And mountain biking. And snow boarding. He is also an avid collector of Cycads. He states that his biggest challenge seeking housing near the nursery was to find a place that could accommodate his growing collections.
